Mangaroa Home and School
The Mangaroa Home and School committee is a group of parents who help organise activities outside of normal school – things like the school discos, sausage sizzles, quiz nights, and also fundraising activities like the personalised calendars and hoodies.
Over the last few years, we’ve had a group of very dedicated families who have given a lot of their time, but a number of them moved on to other schools at the end of last year, so we are looking for more eager people to help out! If you have any ideas for activities, or are able to help out we would love to have you along.
We meet at school roughly once a month at 9:00 am. The meetings are really casual and generally last about 90 minutes. Details are published in the school newsletter the week prior, or if you are interested, we can add your email to the circulation list.
In the past, a lot of the Home and School’s focus has been on fundraising – we had the hall to help pay for! But now we are aiming to organise events that are fun for all involved – like movie nights, discos etc, and any extra money we can make is a bonus.
If you would like any more information, email the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org or just come along to our next meeting.
