Nau mai, Haere mai
On behalf of the students, staff and community I would like to welcome you to Mangaroa School.
Mangaroa School is located ten minutes from central Upper Hutt and under an hour from Wellington City. Our school is in an rural setting surrounded by mature trees and expansive grounds. While a huge importance is placed on forming relationships and creating a place where learners feel safe to be challenged and take risks, our students are encouraged to climb, swing, play games and have fun.
At Mangaroa School children are at the centre of all that we do. We have a dynamic, enthusiastic and caring team of passionate people guiding children through their learning from New Entrants to Year 6. Our team aim to prepare our students to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. We want our children to be fully involved in their learning and strive to offer a wide range of academic, social, cultural, physical and creative activities for them to pursue.
The staff and board of trustees at Mangaroa School have high expectations for learning and behaviour. We are committed to providing students with high-quality education which work alongside our school vision (Confident and resilient learners, preparing for the future) and T.R.E.E.S values.
Parental involvement is high in all facets of schooling. Mangaroa School is lucky to have fantastic parent and community support and we aim to work together with families to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.
Please feel free to contact the school office to make an appointment or just pop in for a visit. I would be delighted to show you around and answer any questions you might have.
Ngā mihi
