Whakataukī:

A whakataukī is a māori proverb to live by. For us, our whakataukī will be our guiding light.

Vision

At Mangaroa School we aim to work with whānau to nurture all tamariki so that they can grow and blossom into outstanding members of society. We acknowledge that each seed will need to be nurtured in different ways and will grow in their own time. Saplings grow differently, no matter how closely rooted they are and are all capable of blossoming, this too is true for our tamariki.

Identity

We will recognise and celebrate New Zealand’s cultural diversity and Māori culture and provide learning opportunities in tikanga Māori and Te Reo Maori.
